New at MaizeQuest in New Park, PA . They recently started something called MinerMax (http://www.minermax.com/gemstone_mining.htm). Boys have to find their way out of a mine, are given a 3 or 5 pound bag of dirt, take it to a sluice, and pan the contents. Guaranteed to have something. They can choose between gemstones, emerald-rich minerals, fossils, or even arrowheads. They can purchase additional bags if they want. It would be a fun intro for the Webelos Geologist activity badge. If you go...please have them bring whatever they mined to next den meeting to show off!!! They offer discounts to groups of 20 or more--
